Comments: hi,
im an amature orchid grower and i just begin to collect some of orchid genuses. I would like to ask you a few orchid species native from my land for identification but i dont know how to sent you those pictures.
And i want to ask can orchid be hybridised between genuses instead of species? E.g. Phal. amabilis x Dendrobium anosmum. Please give your answer to my email too.
Regards, HT.

As for your question on hybridizing, you can hybridize between genus but not between all genus. The cross between Phalaenopsis and Dendrobium isn't possible, but you can cross Phalaenopsis, with Vanda, Aerides, Arachnis, Ascocentrum and many other genus. You can see a quite complete list of intergenerics hybrids in the following file : http://www.orchidsaustralia.com/download_genu stab.pdf
As for sending me pictures, I have send an email to the email address you give me.

Comments: Thank you so much for the effort you put in this website. I bought an orchid for my girlfriend and was trying to find out exactly what species it was. It was a hybrid which made it difficult to find anywhere else on the web but this website is very thoroughly made. Again, thank you and everyone like you who take the time for things like these
